100 years of Finland series - Travel Diary - Tampere, Finland

Tampere is the partner city of my home town and the place that started my love for Finland 10 years ago. Here, I spent my Erasmus study semester and decided to come back year after year to experience more of this beautiful country and its' vibrant culture. I adore Tampere and will always remember it as the first home away from home even though Helsinki has since caught my heart. The city is still under the influence of the industrialization and remnants of that great manufacturing era can still be found everywhere. The red brick stones are a big part of the face of this place and I love the look that reminds me so much of my home town and even London during the industrialization.
